From now on Europe is closer…

To strengthen the connection between Armenia and France, and to make the cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon closer, air company «Armenia» launched a regular direct flight Yerevan-Lyon-Yerevan from April 19.

The air company «Armenia»'s staff, respective guests and journalists are waiting for the first passengers of Yerevan-Lyon flight in «Zvartnots» airport departure hall.

The event is significant not only for the air company, but also for the passengers. From now on, they will travel from Yerevan to Lyon  back and forth faster, comfortable, without queues and waiting.

One of our first passengers, Thomas Blaise shared his enthusiasm with us and finally noted: ''I am coming to Armenia for the fourth time. Before this flight has launched, we had to pass hours in the airplane and come to Armenia via other countries. Now we arrive in 4 hours and 10 minutes. Its a pleasure to travel in accompaniment with friendly staff and delicious food.  Now it will not be possible to escape from the French''.

And a famous Armenian businessman  Arman Baduryan, highlighting the strengthening between two cities, noted, that he is traveling to Armenia very often, and he is transporting various products to France for his shops and reastaurants, and he is very satisfied to know, that now instead of days,  4 hours are enough to reach the homeland.

Gevorg Khachatryan, Deputy Director of air company «Armenia» in  discussion with journalists clarified the reason,  why Lyos was chosen from other cities of Fracne to launch regular flights to. He also spoke about his visit to Lyon and his meetings there. ''Choosing between Lyon and Marseille we chosed Lyon, as there is a large Armenian community, and it is geographically well positioned. It is closer to Lyon and it's cheap to travel to different cities like Marseille, Nice, Paris and so on. The passenger traffic at the airport is even higher.

Gevorg Khachatryan had meetings with local Armenian community and regional representatives, French Armenian businessmen as well as with deputy director of international relations, economic and tourism development Kanten Bardine. The French official noted, that they are interested in opening the regular direct flight Yerevan-Lyon-Yerevan and expressed the readiness to assist the air company.

We would like to note, that the flight Yerevan-Lyon-Yerevan will be operated by Boeing 737 aircraft of air company «Armenia». Flights will be carried out twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

We wish you a nice flight and  soft landing…
