”Armenia”  announced  the date from when it would be possible to purchase air-tickets to Tbilisi from Moscow

The airline believes that Yerevan is the best transit route to travel to Russia from Georgia.

''Armenia''  air-company offers the passengers the most  optimal way to travel from Moscow to Tbilisi. The deputy director of the air-company Gevorg Khachatryan told the journalists today.

On June 21, the president of Russian Vladimir Putin signed a decree prohibiting the airlines to realize transfers from  Russia to Georgia beginning from July 8. According to Khachatryan, after knowing that information, the company applied to Rosaviatsiya.

"As a business company we understand that a large flow of tourists is expected to travel to Tbilisi through Yerevan. Therefore it was decided to exploit the direction Moscow-Yerevan. Since July 8, the planes will carry out two flights a day, "Khachatryan said.

The frequency of flights may be increased to four in case there’s such a need.

Before July 8  the company will have completed the registration of the new Boeing 737-700. In general the company will exploit three planes, one of which will be temporarily rented.

An agreement on joint exploitation of flights with "Georgian Airlines" has been signed. They have been traveling from Yerevan to Tbilisi once a day for a long time, and now the number of  flights will be doubled.

The airline will do everything possible to reduce the transit time between Moscow and Tbilisi via Yerevan.

According to him, the flight Tbilisi-Yerevan lasts 25 minutes, passengers will spend about 50 minutes in Yerevan. In general including the time to change the plane, the whole flight will last 4 hours.

The length of flights offered by other companies starts from six hours.

The company intends to start selling tickets to Moscow from June 28. The air-company negotiates with “Zvartnots” on the plane maintenance tariffs. As a result, the ticket prices will also be set.

According to Khachatryan, the ticket from Yerevan to Moscow starts at an average of 90-100 euro (including "air" and airport tax).

“Armenia's” airplane will fly to Vnukovo airport in Moscow.

Khachatryan mentioned that “Armenia's” proposal is much more convenient than any other option. The airport of Baku is the most expensive in the region, so it may hardly be transitory.

"Azerbaijan can offer Ganja airport. But we have to go ahead of them. Our proposal with "Georgian Airlines" is out of competition, "mentioned Khachatryan.

“Armenia”-the only Armenian air-company operating today, entered the local market in 2016. The   planes of the airline carry regular flights to Voronezh, Minvodi, Tel Aviv, Beirut, Lyon and some charter flights to Kuwait, Rhodes and so on. Armenia's fleet is equipped with two Boeings 737-500 and Boeing 737-700.
